We’ll be there with issue 10 in hand!
…well, not quite… I’ve just corrected and signed off on the proofs, and according to the printer we should have copies in our hands by Friday, just in time for Expozine. Given last year’s debacle, I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but I’ve got a much better feeling this time around.
This issue is STACKED, with over 30 contributors filling 180 pages. I’m particularly happy with the cover this time around, not leaving it to the very last moment certainly helps! I’ll have an official issue post up soon, with full details, credits and the pdf available for download, but for those who want to get their hands on it first, please swing by Expozine this weekend and say hello.
Omen XI , Eau forte on paper & pressed on Chiyogami paper 12.5″x9.5″
I just picked up my print from Omen and I gotta say I’m really pleased. I can’t wait to get this sucka framed and on the wall! He’s got some great stuff going on for him right now, and I’ll be riding this piece to my early retirement.

We’ve just completed the design of the tenth issue, and the files are on their way to the printer. Hopefully, we won’t run into any of the problems we had last year, and the issue will be hot off the presses for Expozine. More info soon…

The latest issue of the Fine Press Book Association‘s journal, ‘Parenthesis,’ is beautifully documented in this flickr set. Enjoy!
An interesting and brilliant idea by Estonian designers Vladimir and Maksim Loginov. Picking up on current trends, they offer a wide selection of “hand made fonts” available for purchase, download and use. Each letter is an incredibly detailed, beautifully rendered piece of work, check out Skeleton, for example. There’s definitely some bad mixed in with the good, and I find the prices a bit steep, but the concept and execution are top notch.
Have a look for yourself!

I’ve been waiting for someone from my activist past to say something about all this. Thanks Brian… via Memefest. Full text available here.
